About the event
During your stay in San Cristóbal de las Casas, we will design an itinerary for each day, which includes daily discussions on cultural adapting and what is required to understand how much is different, but also what is similar when viewed through the lens of Mexican Culture. The idea of time and how it is different in Mexico, and time to relax into the slower pace. We will explore the Spanish language, the differences in style of speech, volume, directness, and formality, and introduce you to certain phrases and how you can adjust latin based words that are similar in English and Spanish, along with:
The practicalities of daily life in Mexico.
Shopping in the local Mercados and street vendors.
Our Flotation Center will be available (with hours included in your package) to help you adjust to the slower pace of Mexico.
