The Experience
Our week-by-week package is designed to be flexible, so you can pick the dates that work best for your schedule, from as little as a one-week stay to a four-week stay ($500 per week, per person). You’ll also enjoy the freedom to explore on your own and then join us for our daily discussions.
We will create a personalized experience based on the length of your stay in San Cristóbal de las Casas. This experience will include daily discussions focused on adapting to the local culture. We will explore both the differences and similarities between Mexican culture and your own. For instance, we will examine how the concept of “time” differs, as life in Mexico tends to move at a more relaxed and slower pace compared to the United States. We will delve into the Spanish language to help you understand key differences, such as variations in speech style, volume, directness, and formality. We will also highlight many English words that are similar in Spanish, giving you a headstart of over 2000 words you can immediately use. $500/week USD per person. Payment in full is required at time of registration. Payments are non-refundable but can be used as credit towards future events.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
We will arrange reservations for your stay at either our neighborhood Airbnbs or nearby hotels (depending on availability). We will take care of scheduling transportation to and from the Ángel Albino Corzo International Airport in Tuxtla Gutiérrez to where you are staying. We will create an itinerary of suggested places to visit, must-sees, restaurants, and local businesses, along with our scheduled Daily Discussions on topics listed above.
